"Expected Goals" ist eine Statistik des Datenanbieters Opta: Dabei wurden mehr als 300.000 Torschüsse der Vergangenheit analysiert, um festzustellen, wie wahrscheinlich ein Torerfolg in der jeweiligen Situation im Schnitt ist.

"Expected Goals" ist eine Statistik des Datenanbieters Opta: Dabei wurden mehr als 300.000 Torschüsse der Vergangenheit analysiert, um festzustellen, wie wahrscheinlich ein Torerfolg in der jeweiligen Situation im Schnitt ist.

Der Wert bewegt sich dabei zwischen 0 (= fast unmöglich, etwa ein Schuss aus 50 Metern) und 1 (= fast sicher, also frei vor dem Tor ohne Gegenspieler). Ein Elfmeter hat übrigens einen "xG-Wert" von 0,76 - denn rund drei Viertel aller Elfer sind drin.

Der Wert bewegt sich dabei zwischen 0 (= fast unmöglich, etwa ein Schuss aus 50 Metern) und 1 (= fast sicher, also frei vor dem Tor ohne Gegenspieler). Ein Elfmeter hat übrigens einen "xG-Wert" von 0,76 - denn rund drei Viertel aller Elfer sind drin.

Jedem Torschuss wird dieser Wert zugewiesen, am Ende eines Spiels - oder einer Saison - werden sie dann zusammengerechnet. "xGoals" verrät also, wie gut die erspielten Tormöglichkeiten im Schnitt waren - und was man aus ihnen gemacht hat.

Jedem Torschuss wird dieser Wert zugewiesen, am Ende eines Spiels - oder einer Saison - werden sie dann zusammengerechnet. "xGoals" verrät also, wie gut die erspielten Tormöglichkeiten im Schnitt waren - und was man aus ihnen gemacht hat.
